1. Overview
The AgentGuard Compliance plugin for WordPress lets a subscribed agent embed their public Trust badge, compliance page, and tariff of charges directly into their own WordPress site — with the host theme’s own typography and colours, not ours. This document describes our versioning scheme, update process, and version history. The current release is version 1.1.0.
This document describes the AgentGuard Compliance WordPress plugin specifically (the plugin name, the version 1.1.0 release, and the seven shortcodes below). Other Friam products (for example VetGuard) ship their own WordPress plugin with a different name, shortcodes, and version history; this versioning document does not describe those equivalents.
2. Versioning scheme
We follow semantic versioning (MAJOR.MINOR.PATCH):
- MAJOR — significant new capabilities or changes to how the plugin integrates with your site. We aim to maintain backward compatibility, but major versions may require reviewing your settings after update.
- MINOR — new features, shortcodes, or block types. Fully backward-compatible with existing configurations.
- PATCH — fixes, stability improvements, and compatibility updates. No configuration changes required.
3. How updates work
We issue updates as new plugin versions. To install one, download the latest version from your AgentGuard dashboard and upload it in WordPress (Plugins → Add New → Upload Plugin). Your embed token, connection settings, and display preferences are preserved across updates, and the pages created by the setup wizard are not modified or deleted.
One-click updating through the standard Dashboard > Updates screen is being finalised and is not yet live; until it is, please update by upload as above. We recommend keeping the plugin up to date for the latest Trust-badge formatting, compliance-page rendering improvements, and WordPress-version compatibility fixes.
4. Compatibility
| Requirement | Minimum | Tested up to |
|---|---|---|
| WordPress | 5.6 | 6.8 |
| PHP | 7.4 | 8.1 or later |
The plugin is tested with the WordPress block editor (Gutenberg) and common page builders. Shortcodes work with any theme.
5. Shortcodes
The plugin registers the following shortcodes:
[agentguard_badge]— the Trust badge popover (click-to-open verification mark). Branded in the AgentGuard palette deliberately, because it is a verification mark.[agentguard_trust_pack]— the full Trust pack (verification stamp, checks, and documents) in one block.[agentguard_score]— the firm’s headline compliance indicator.[agentguard_disclosure]— the ownership / regulatory disclosure statement.[agentguard_document]— a link to a specific adopted compliance document.[ag_compliance_page]— the agent’s adopted compliance documents, rendered host-inherit (your theme’s typography and colours).[ag_tariff]— the tariff of charges from your compliance profile, rendered host-inherit.
